Penrite Racing’s journey across the Tasman for Round 3 of the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship at the ITM Taupō Super 440 was one to remember – both for its emotional resonance and on-track success.

In the lead-up to the event, the team proudly unveiled a stunning ANZAC Appeal Tribute livery. In a poignant gesture of remembrance, the traditional gold wreath on the Penrite Oil logo was replaced with vivid red poppies on the bonnet, symbolising the ANZAC spirit. The car also featured the ANZAC Appeal logo and the words LEST WE FORGET prominently on the bonnet and rear, while the mirrors were also specially themed for the occasion. It was a beautifully executed tribute, marking a welcome return of ANZAC-themed liveries to the Supercars grid – all in support of an important cause.

The striking look of the Penrite Mustangs was matched by their pace on track.

Hometown hero Matthew Payne delivered a performance worthy of the occasion, dominating the weekend and claiming the prestigious Jason Richards Memorial Trophy. Payne scored a pole position for Race 8, victories in Races 8 and 10, and a fourth-place finish – a stellar haul that saw him claim the JR Trophy by 33 points over Chaz Mostert. In doing so, he became just the fifth Kiwi driver in history to win a Supercars event on home soil, continuing his rapid rise through the ranks of the 'Main Game'.

This model is scheduled to be produced in high quality sealed body die-cast with clear windows, detailed racing cockpit and undercarriage details unique to the Gen3 floorpan.

Comprised of roughly 65 individual metal and plastic parts plus anywhere between 50-100 steps in paint and decoration finishing, this is a high quality collectors model for fans of this scale.

It will come in an exclusive one-off limited edition, presented in a display case with the model attached to a white base plate which features the car details printed on it. An individually numbered backing board featuring the edition number is also included as part of the package and acts as the Certificate of Authenticity for the release.
